As a leading manufacturer of phototherapeutic products for international distribution, Daavlin needed a single HIPAA-compliant platform to host and manage all of their medical practice clients and patient data. Whitelabel devised a system accounting for a magnitude of user roles and interactions that relied on innovative UI conventions for high usability and frequent iteration.
Our team developed a custom engineered HIPPA compliant web app that provides functionality for management of practices, patients, histories, prescriptions and dosing guides.

Architected and engineered from scratch, the Daavlin app required deep sensitivity to a myriad of needs spanning across multiple user roles and permission levels. Complicating matters, each solution needed to carefully align with HIPPA standards.
Whitelabel designed and mapped modern UI patterns against these challenges to provide flexible functionality and allow for seamless iteration. These UI patterns became a custom, full-stack Ruby on Rails application that allowed practice administrators to create unique prescriptions that can be digitally signed by a physician. In addition, the application includes a secure and compliant in-app messaging system between Daavlin and medical practices.
“This project was all about trying to keep everything as simple as possible because we knew it would change as we went. The result is probably the most expandable app we’ve ever made. All of the elements work together. We’ve continued to add functionality without having to design new elements.”
